Hebrew Voices #195 - Ancient Hebrew in America? - NehemiasWall.com
In this episode of Hebrew Voices #195, Ancient Hebrew in America?, Nehemia speaks to a geologist about the only Paleo-Hebrew inscription found in an Indian burial mound during an archeological excavation. Is the Bat Creek Inscription scientific evidence of pre-Columbian contact with Israelite lost tribes or a 19th century hoax by a Smithsonian Institute archeologist?

I really don't understand why the guest brought up Isaiah 44:20 to affirm trinity (a term and attendant concept I personally do not like). But what an odd verse to appeal to! What a head scratcher. I would have thought he'd have pointed to something like Isaiah 48:16 Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me.

Hope to see something like this in regards to The Taíno people of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. We DO BELIEVE it’s one of the lost tribes, because a rock was found with what looks like ancient Hebrew letter’s that an old Taino woman was hiding from the Spaniard Invader’s.

This geologist Scott I found hard to listen. He is arrogant, biased, and intolerant of any questioning of his conclusion study. Totally defensive and ready to pounce and dismiss. This is why he is discredited and not a reliable source of information. Conjecture is not proof! This guy assumes way to much and uses flag words to support his flawed theories. Parsimonious Archeaology. The guy is a joke and not a real scientist by standards we apply to get to credible discovery. Seems like a real ass hat which noone wants to work with or for!

But I say that we have to think that he is a jew and he did follow Torah. All food is what is food in ewery culture. Some are eating dogs and bats. If I meet a headhunter deep in the djungle, will he think of me as clean food after hearing Mark 7:19? So what does Mark 7:19 really say?

Day יְוֹם is Yawm, not Yvm. It is also used as a Waw in countless other places such as (Elohim) Alawheem אלוהים it’s not Alvheem. The living grammar is consistent with Waw and Vav may be a dialectical Hebrew influenced from Europe. Syria is bordered to Europe and Jerusalem is a bridge between Europe and the Middle East. Multiple European nations have ruled there and influenced the customs and culture of the region and European Jewry have been the most dominant of an influence over Judaism by far and large, Sephardi and Ashkenazi, not Mizrahi, yet the Israelites originally come from the Mizrach, not from the Sephard or Ashkenaz; not saying the latter are not Israelites, but the European influence of those communities is also clearly and considerably apparent, all due respect. Being among Mizrahi communities who also spoke Arabic would give the safe space for the Hebrew to preserve its purely Semitic origins and essence. Especially in places like Yemen where no European nation has ever colonized. For instance the ‘Ayn ע was even mispronounced by Galileans as you stated to the point to where they would not be allowed to lead the prayers among communities that pronounced the ‘Ayn ע properly. And the common denominator between those who mispronounce the ‘Ayn ע till this day as an Alef א is that they also pronounce Waw ו as Vav even though Waw is consistent with the grammatical vowel usage. Benawt, Yawm, Alawheem, Yaladawt, etc.

I do not use the term God. Day one, the creator is creation itself. Everything you see in the visible light spectrum and not be able to view in the other wave lengths is energy. This includes us and all matter which is energy. There seems to be confusion between creation and evolution. Evolution was incorporated with creation as energy that changes form but is still the same. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it just changes form. Day one cannot be a day in human terms as you are ready to believe. The sun, moon, and stars were not created until day four. This includes the illusion of time. Day five animals came into existence and evolved before humans on day six in the likeness of the creator. We are energy. Day seven is when the illusion of time starts. The creator does not rest. A silly notion. So, in essence, creation itself is energy and that energy is the creator.

_@Nehemia Gordon_ -- Thank you for tackling this subject. The evidence for ancient Hebrew visitors to America is growing. If I remember correctly, the most compelling evidence is genetic. Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson has been studying the DNA of native Americans for several years and I recall him discovering a unique Hebrew strain in some tribes. Jeanson's work is forcing historians to reconsider many of their theories about migration of early peoples into and across America. His book "Traced, Human DNA's Big Surprise" is excellent. Thank you for the polite way you questioned Scott Wolter. It was disappointing to see his confusion and lack of comprehension -- he didn't seem to understand several of your questions. Nor did he appear to understand their relevance to his credibility. Volunteering that he is a Mason and a Templar is not the way to establish scientific credibility and I'm glad that you teased from him that this came _after_ his Bat Creek Stone research. His comments often strayed too wide of the subject. Plus, he seems to think that authoring books is somehow equivalent to evidence. It is not. I have read many authors who lacked critical reason and who fabricated or miss-applied evidence (it has taught me to check footnotes and sources). So, claiming you have written much on a subject is no guarantee that you are correct -- or even as knowledgeable as you think you are. Wolter's books may be excellent -- I have not read them. But to cite them as evidence in this video is foolish. In a video like this, he needs to succinctly cite only specific evidence and not rely on "I wrote a book". His comments at the end about "the Name" were bizarre and it was a shame that he appeared unaware of your extensive work on that subject. Lastly, I am disappointed that a translation of the Paleo Hebrew text on the Bat Creek Stone was not offered in this video. If you do a "Part 2" video as you indicated, please include a translation in it.

    * The Messiah Isaiah 53:1-12 - "Who has put faith in the thing heard from us? And as for the arm of Jehovah, to whom has it been revealed? 2 He will come up like a twig before him, like a root out of parched land. No stately form does he have, nor any splendor; And when we see him, his appearance does not draw us to him. 3 He was despised and was avoided by men, A man who was meant for pains and was familiar with sickness. It was as if his face were hidden from us. He was despised, and we held him as of no account. 4 Truly he himself carried our sicknesses, And he bore our pains. But we considered him as plagued, stricken by God and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgression; He was crushed for our errors. He bore the punishment for our peace, And because of his wounds we were healed. 6 Like sheep we have all wandered about, Each has turned his own way, And Jehovah has caused the error of us all to meet up with him. 7 He was oppressed and he let himself be afflicted, But he would not open his mouth. He was brought like a sheep to the slaughter, Like a ewe that is silent before its shearers, And he would not open his mouth. 8 Because of restraint and judgment he was taken away; And who will concern himself with the details of his generation? For he was cut off from the land of the living; Because of the transgression of my people he received the stroke. 9 And he was given a burial place with the wicked, And with the rich in his death, Although he had done no wrong And there was no deception in his mouth. 10 But it was Jehovah’s will to crush him, and he let him become sick. If you will present his life as a guilt offering, He will see his offspring, he will prolong his days, And through him the delight of Jehovah will have success. 11 Because of his anguish, he will see and be satisfied. By means of his knowledge the righteous one, my servant, Will bring a righteous standing to many people, And their errors he will bear. 12 For that reason I will assign him a portion among the many, And he will apportion the spoil with the mighty, Because he poured out his life even to death And was counted among the transgressors; He carried the sin of many people, And he interceded for the transgressors." * For the transgressors will have their own due. Luke 12:8 - “I say to you, everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God." 1 John 2:23 - "Everyone who denies the Son does not have the Father either. But whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also." * For what is meant to happen will happen. Revelation 16:12 - "The sixth one poured out his bowl on the great river Eu·phraʹtes, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the rising of the sun." Daniel 11:44 - “But reports out of the east and out of the north will disturb him, and he will go out in a great rage to annihilate and to devote many to destruction."

Isaiah 53 isn't talking about the messiah. It's the kings of the nations of the world talking about Israel. The "servant" in context is Israel (Isaiah 49:3). Sometimes referred to in the singular, sometimes in the plural. I know it's really hard from someone to look at this passage a different way, when all your life you've read it from a Christian translation. But this is not talking about the messiah. This is when the kings of the earth collectively realize they have been persecuting Israel for sins that they themselves were guilty of. And they will be beside themselves with incredulity when they suddenly comprehend how the suffering Israel endured should have fallen on them. Don't take my word for it. Look up Rabbi Tovia Singer and the "Let's Get Biblical!" audio series. Check out his talk on Isaiah 53. Here is the passage, starting from Isaiah 52:13, from a Jewish translation, the JPS 1917. 52:13 Behold, My servant shall prosper, He shall be exalted and lifted up, and shall be very high. 14 According as many were appalled at thee- So marred was his visage unlike that of a man, And his form unlike that of the sons of men- 15 So shall he startle many nations, Kings shall shut their mouths because of him; From that which had not been told them shall they see, And that which they had not heard shall they perceive. 53:1 'Who would have believed our report? And to whom hath the arm of the LORD been revealed? 2 For he shot up right forth as a sapling, And as a root out of a dry ground; He had no form nor comeliness, that we should look upon him, Nor beauty that we should delight in him. 3 He was despised, and forsaken of men, A man of pains, and acquainted with disease, And as one from whom men hide their face: He was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely our diseases he did bear, and our pains he carried; Whereas we did esteem him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded because of our transgressions, He was crushed because of our iniquities: The chastisement of our welfare was upon him, And with his stripes we were healed. 6 All we like sheep did go astray, We turned every one to his own way; And the LORD hath made to light on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, though he humbled himself And opened not his mouth; As a lamb that is led to the slaughter, And as a sheep that before her shearers is dumb; Yea, he opened not his mouth. 8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away, And with his generation who did reason? For he was cut off out of the land of the living, For the transgression of my people to whom the stroke was due. 9 And they made his grave with the wicked, And with the rich his tomb; Although he had done no violence, Neither was any deceit in his mouth.’ 10 Yet it pleased the LORD to crush him by disease; To see if his soul would offer itself in restitution, That he might see his seed, prolong his days, And that the purpose of the LORD might prosper by his hand: 11 Of the travail of his soul he shall see to the full, even My servant, Who by his knowledge did justify the Righteous One to the many, And their iniquities he did bear. 12 Therefore will I divide him a portion among the great, And he shall divide the spoil with the mighty; Because he bared his soul unto death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet he bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.

@@Paul-ben-Miqra Isaiah 53 is well written in layman's terms to be understood by the general readers. To be misconstrued by traditionalists is not God's fault, but u denying God's pronouncements. 1. Israel is often referred symbolically in the bible as a woman not a man. Becoz God should have been her husband. Read Jeremiah and Isaiah. 2. Even if u read only verse 12, it's clearly written there that God describes the Messiah. Now compare this whole chapter to Jesus suffering before he died. If ur not biased, read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. 3. Read the Old Testament as it is and not so much with the invocations of ur Rabbis. That if u favor the truth more than ur genealogy. Cling to the utterances of God more than the man, becoz man will not give u the everlasting life, God is.

@@Paul-ben-Miqra 4. Nope, the interpretation is not of my own volition. In fact, the context speaks for itself and was well explained by Paul, as he quoted the first verse in his account in Romans 10:16-21. 5. Also, Jesus himself quoted the first verse in his account in John 12:37-43. The good thing is that Jesus never claimed that he was equal to God. Only the counterfeiters will do.

I used to belong to the 430 years hardcore camp, but when I took time to watch some videos of "my enemies" I noticed that they have some real valid arguments. I spent weeks to reexamine the issue and pray about it. to make the story short, I dropped the towel. Right now, I'm convinced that the Israelites didn't spend 430 years in Egypt. The 215 years period makes a lot more sense. Now, you may thing but why the text sounds controversial and confusing? There is a REASON. The author (GOD) wants us to really dive in the scriptures and study it. I discovered another puzzle and it is connected to this one. Why the author started the counting of Adam's age in Genesis 5 (with Seth), not in Genesis 4 (with Cain and Abel)?

I think it would have been nearly impossible for the guy who discovered it to scratch the paleo on it and then weather those scatches to make it look old with the technology they had in the late 19th century. Furthermore, why would he write paleo Hebrew on it snd say it was paleo Cherokee if he was trying to fake something😂😂 So, please ignore his exuberance about Freemasonism and lack of knowledge about God's name and get him back. Most scholars consider the Bat Creek Stone to be a hoax. The Bat Creek Stone was discovered in 1889 in a burial mound in Tennessee and was initially claimed to be evidence of pre-Columbian contact between Native Americans and people from the Old World. However, linguistic and archaeological analysis has shown that the inscriptions on the stone are more consistent with modern forgeries. Specifically, the inscriptions appear to be a poor imitation of Paleo-Hebrew characters.

The Smithsonian launching virulent attacks on anything that flies in the face of their assumptions is nothing new. Linguist Joseph Greenberg's "Language in the Americas" (1987) which applied exactly the same method which led to the discovery of the Indo-European language family to Native American languages was attacked especially strongly by the Smithsonian. Thing is, linguists who've spent their whole careers studying a single language often take pride in the belief that their language is a "language isolate" which belief can rise if you don't do much looking around at other languages. So when comparative studies are done showing that your pet language is merely one branch of a vast tree it's a professional insult which must be "shouted down". However not only are the similarities within the various language-families Greenberg proposed quite obvious, these groupings have been supported by modern DNA studies.
